Pakistan Super League (PSL) CEO Salman Naseer announced on Wednesday that an auction will be held to induct two new franchises in the 11th edition of the tournament. Addressing a press conference at the National Bank Stadium, he said interested bidders would choose from a list of eligible cities for their teams.
Naseer confirmed that revaluation of the existing six franchises is underway, giving current owners the first right to match new valuations and retain ownership for the next ten editions. If any franchise opts out, team rights will be offered through an open bidding process for new investors.

Responding to questions about Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen’s public criticism of the PCB, Naseer said league matters should be settled “behind closed doors” to preserve the PSL’s integrity. He stressed that disputes must be resolved legally and professionally to avoid damaging the league’s reputation.
The development marks a major step in expanding the PSL and reinforcing transparency and governance reforms in Pakistan’s premier cricket league.
