Are Patangeer’s Amtul Baweja and Fahad Tariq Hosting the First Pakistan Influencer Awards?

[post-views]

Amtul Baweja and Fahad Tariq, the content creator duo behind the vlog Patangeer, are set to host the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Influencer Awards.

In a reel shared on their Instagram page, Baweja said the couple had spent eight years in content creation, becoming part of “an incredible community” of digital creators and influencers. She said they didn’t know then that “one day, we’d be standing on stage, representing this very community and hosting the first Pakistan Influencer Awards.” Baweja described the initiative as industry-driven, calling it “a great way to acknowledge Pakistani content creators and the work we’ve done in the past years.”

The Pakistan Influencer Awards are scheduled to take place on November 7. At an event on July 27, the initiative’s chief curator, Talha Aslam, said the goal was to establish some “guardrails” and build a “culture” that allows content creation to thrive in Pakistan.

More than 30 different awards will be handed out, including Creator of the Year and Emerging Creator awards across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Separate category awards will honour creators for their work in areas such as lifestyle, beauty, fashion, travel, fitness, entertainment, gaming, parenting, music, and more.

Winners will be determined through a multi-stage process. The top 20 creators qualifying for each award will first be filtered through an algorithm, with a market survey conducted to validate the results. A jury of established content creators will then narrow that list to the top 10, before a second jury of marketing and advertising professionals selects the top five. The final names will then go to a public vote, expected to be held online in October.
