Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Tehran has “never asked for a ceasefire” in the ongoing war with Israel and the United States. In an interview with CBS News, Araghchi emphasized that Iran sees no reason to engage in talks with the US, noting that negotiations were already underway when the Americans chose to attack.
The remarks come after US President Donald Trump claimed on Saturday that Iran was seeking a deal, but he judged the proposed terms as “not good enough.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced it is broadening its strikes to target additional areas in western and central Iran. In response, Iran has launched more missile attacks, intensifying the conflict.
The escalating military exchanges have raised concerns about the country’s future. Analysts warn that if the current pace of attacks continues, it could leave Iran severely damaged and destabilized.
The situation underscores the deepening hostilities between the nations, with neither side showing signs of backing down. Observers fear that the continued escalation may have lasting consequences for regional stability, civilian safety, and Iran’s infrastructure. The conflict now appears to be entering a more dangerous phase, with both countries intensifying military operations and rejecting immediate diplomatic solutions.
