Pakistan has urged the Iranian government to conduct an investigation into a recent terrorist attack in the Panjgur region of Balochistan and hold the responsible parties accountable.
The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, stated during a press conference on Thursday that the attackers utilized Iranian territory to launch their assault on a convoy of security forces stationed near the Pakistan-Iran border.
Pakistan has affirmed that it will not allow its own land to be used for cross-border attacks on Iran and expects the same from Iran. Diplomatic channels are currently open and Pakistan has shared its concerns with the Iranian authorities.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations, four security personnel were killed in the terrorist attack which was launched from Iranian soil.
