LAHORE: Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), strongly criticized “state institutions” on Sunday amid the controversy surrounding his arrest in the Toshakhana case. The former prime minister, who was removed from power in April last year, expressed his anger while addressing party workers and supporters at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore during the “Jail Bharo Tehreek” (court arrest movement).
Interestingly, Imran Khan’s chief of staff, Senator Shibli Faraz, had previously claimed that the PTI chief was not present at his Zaman Park residence.
During his impassioned speech, the PTI chairman stated that he had not bowed down to any institution or person, and he would not let the nation do so either.
Imran Khan’s appearance occurred while a crowd of PTI workers had gathered at Zaman Park after the Islamabad police arrived to arrest him in the Toshakhana case.
