PTI taps Chaudhry Parvez Elahi as party leader

On Tuesday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced Chaudhry Parvez Elahi as the party’s new president, fulfilling the promise made to him weeks earlier.

According to a notification signed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has been designated as the new president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Expressing gratitude towards the PTI chief, Elahi praised Imran Khan, stating that “no one has shown me the same level of respect as Imran Khan has, and we must all collaborate to bolster his leadership.”

Then, it has structural reasons. The elemental reason is the obsessed desire to be part of the power that imbibes deep into the socio-cultural pattern of the society. Pakistanis love power. Then, the easiest way to be a part of power for most middle-class youth is to be a civil servant. Thus, hundreds and thousands of middle-class youth strive to be civil servants. Of course, the government has three organs: the legislature, the executive and the judiciary.
