In the second ODI match of the series between Pakistan and New Zealand, Fakhar Zaman, the opener of the national team, created two records.
In the match played in Rawalpindi, Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman crossed the mark of 3,000 runs in his ODI career, he achieved this honor in just 67 innings, surpassing captain Babar Azam and became the joint second fastest batsman in the world.
Earlier, Shai Hope of West Indies also completed 3000 runs in 67 innings.
Hashim Amla of South Africa completed 3000 ODI runs in just 57 innings and became the first batsman in the world. Captain Babar Azam achieved this feat in 68 innings, West Indies’ Viv Richards in 69 innings.
On the other hand, he also became the fourth Pakistani batsman to achieve triple figures in 3 ODIs by scoring a century in the second consecutive ODI against the Kiwis.
Fakhar Zaman also scored a century in the last match of the three ODI series against New Zealand in January this year in Karachi.
