Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy delivered a firm cautionary message to the Ukrainian populace, shedding light on Russia’s relentless efforts to impede the progress of Kyiv’s troops in their counter-offensive.

In the meantime, a senior-ranking general reported significant strides made on the southern front.

Despite Ukraine’s determined campaign to reclaim territories in the eastern and southern regions, which were seized by Russian forces during their invasion in February 2022, military analysts have pointed out that the journey has been fraught with obstacles.

The primary focus has been on retaking villages in the southeastern areas, pushing forward towards the Sea of Azov, and reclaiming control of regions near the eastern city of Bakhmut, which succumbed to Russian forces in May following prolonged clashes.

Russian sources have boasted about successfully repelling Ukrainian assaults in the eastern Donetsk region, particularly in and around Bakhmut.
