In a development mediated by Qatar, the first group of civilian evacuees from Gaza successfully crossed into Egypt on Wednesday. These individuals had been stranded in Gaza since the conflict began over three weeks ago and were transported through the Rafah border crossing in ambulances. On the Egyptian side, they underwent security checks as part of the evacuation process.
As per the agreement involving Egypt, Israel, and Hamas, this deal permits the departure of foreign nationals and critically injured individuals from the besieged region.
However, despite this humanitarian progress, Israeli military actions, including airstrikes, naval attacks, and artillery shelling, persisted in Gaza throughout the night. These ongoing attacks have reportedly resulted in additional casualties among the civilian population, as reported by Palestinian residents.
