The Defense Secretary, who is the administrative head of Pakistan’s three armed forces, was appointed by former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Lieutenant General (retd) Hamud-ul-Zaman has broken his silence on the Faizabad sit-in for the first time. In the light of Supreme Court’s decision, regarding the Faizabad Dharna Commission, he wrote separately to Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Sources say that the Defense Secretary has also submitted his written statement to the Faizabad Dharna Commission.
