ISLAMABAD: Ahead of Thursday’s national elections, security forces conducted flag marches in different parts of the country on Tuesday.
The purpose of the flag march was to ensure law and order in the general elections. Armed forces of Pakistan Army along with Frontier Corps, Police and district administration organizers participated in the march. Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies are committed to conduct peaceful elections and are always ready to deal with any untoward situation.
In a proactive move to ensure peaceful conduct of the upcoming general elections, Pakistani troops from Lahore, Multan, Okara, Bahawalpur, and Gujranwala areas have been deployed to other districts of Punjab for election security duty.
Military personnel will be deployed on security duty outside the polling stations, focusing on quick response to any unforeseen situation. The Pakistan Army conducted a joint flag march in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the merged districts, in preparation for the upcoming general elections.
