During a dinner with British lawmakers of Pakistani origin, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government of being responsible for the resurgence of terrorism and the ongoing economic crisis in Pakistan. He claimed that the PTI’s policy of ‘appeasing and rehabilitating’ extremist groups had contributed to the rise in terrorism.

Dar also highlighted the increase in violent attacks in bordering provinces and discussed the government’s roadmap for economic revival, emphasizing the country’s previous economic growth and the measures being taken to stabilize the economy. Additionally, he sought suggestions from the Members of Parliament on boosting British foreign direct investment in Pakistan and increasing bilateral trade volume. Dar also addressed the issue of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and thanked the British Parliamentarians for raising awareness about it and the people of Gaza.
