Sanaullah indicated progress on the constitutional package, with the ruling PML-N, PPP, and JUI-F separately preparing drafts of the constitutional amendments. The proposed package has gained attention amid speculation about the tenure extension of Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa.

The ruling coalition is working to garner support from the opposition in order to move forward with the proposed constitutional amendments.
