Capital police detained Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, the siblings of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan, at D-Chowk before the party’s planned demonstration in the capital. The sisters, along with other PTI workers, were taken into custody and transferred to the Secretariat police station. Despite heavy police presence and road blockades, PTI supporters continued to gather in the area, causing disruptions to daily life in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Tensions rose at the Burhan Interchange, leading to clashes and additional arrests.
