Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been granted protective bail by the Peshawar High Court until October 25. This comes after he sought transit bail in cases registered against him in Islamabad. The court approved the protective bail and directed him to appear before the relevant courts on October 25. However, earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Gandapur in a case registered under terrorism sections. The court rejected his pre-arrest bail application and ordered him to appear before the court. Gandapur’s lawyer requested an exemption from his appearance, which was denied by the court.
