Pakistan’s military strongly condemned attacks on Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure amid the ongoing US-Israeli-Iran conflict, calling them “an unnecessary escalation,” ISPR said.
The statement followed the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) chaired by Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ, Rawalpindi. The forum appreciated government efforts to end the Middle East conflict, emphasizing restraint, dialogue, and de-escalation, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to principled diplomacy and regional stability.
The conference expressed concern over the attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial facilities, noting that Saudi restraint has enabled diplomatic solutions, but warned that such aggressions risk undermining peace efforts. Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Office had similarly condemned the attacks as a “dangerous escalation.”
The forum also reviewed internal and external security challenges, reaffirming the continued pursuit of terrorist proxies and facilitators operating under Indian and other external sponsors, and emphasized ongoing counter-terrorism operations including “Operation Ghazab lil-Haq” against the Afghan Taliban.
Additionally, the conference rejected false narratives attributed to India and condemned human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir. Field Marshal Munir praised the armed forces’ professionalism, operational excellence, and commitment to Pakistan’s sovereignty, directing commanders to maintain the highest standards of readiness.
