In a tragic turn of events during a military exercise in Australia’s Northern Territory, an MV-22 Osprey helicopter carrying US Marines crashed, claiming the lives of at least three servicemen. Additionally, a press release from the Marine Rotation Force reported that five Marines sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment. The ill-fated aircraft was part of a routine military drill involving a total of 23 Marines. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the crash to determine its cause.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed his condolences, describing the incident as a tragedy. He emphasized the government’s primary focus on providing immediate support and assistance to those affected during a previously scheduled press conference in Western Australia.
