ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari vowed on Wednesday to re-energize relations with China and promised improved security for Chinese residents in Pakistan.
According to the Foreign Office, Mr Bhutto-Zardari “understood his commitment to inject fresh vigour into the bilateral strategic cooperative relationship and offer new paths to practical collaboration” during a virtual meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
While denouncing the terrorist assault at Karachi University that killed three Chinese instructors, Pakistan’s foreign minister emphasised the country’s steadfast determination to arrest and prosecute the culprits.
The two foreign ministers also talked about regional and global topics of mutual concern.
