A British-Pakistani lawyer, Fahrid Chishty, has been granted a highly coveted legal scholarship by the Inns of Court in London.
This marks a significant moment as Chishty becomes the first Pegasus Scholar to be appointed to Pakistan in the programme’s history.
The Pegasus Scholarship, established under the auspices of Lord Goff of Chieveley in 1987, is a highly prestigious award in the English Bar. It is given annually to a select number of junior barristers who are deemed future leaders of the legal profession.
The scholarship provides the recipients with the opportunity to travel overseas to witness the operation of Common Law in different jurisdictions, and establish long-lasting connections with other legal professionals abroad.
