The current situation in the Middle East is one of high tension and conflict, with Israel and its neighbouring countries constantly at odds. However, Israel’s recent success in defending itself against over 300 Iranian drones and missiles with the help of the USA, UK, France, and other allies has undoubtedly put it in a position of military superiority.
This display of might has demonstrated the sophisticated weapons and advanced military technology that Israel has at its disposal, which is unmatched by any other country in the region. However, it is essential to note that this superior military position is not sustainable in the long run. If any of its enemies were to develop nuclear weapons or find a way to break through Israel’s air defence systems, the consequences could be catastrophic.
Therefore, Israel must work towards achieving sustainable peace through dialogue and mutual co-existence with Palestine. While pre-emptive military superiority may be effective in the short term, it cannot be relied upon indefinitely. Israel must work towards establishing a dialogue with Palestine and creating a mutually beneficial relationship that addresses the concerns of both parties.
The current conflict between Israel and Palestine has been ongoing for decades, with both sides experiencing significant losses and casualties. However, the only way to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region is through diplomatic solutions rather than military ones.
Israel needs to recognize the concerns and needs of Palestine and work towards finding a compromise that benefits both parties. Sustainable peace can only be achieved through dialogue and mutual respect, not military might alone.
