This latest act of aggression not only flouts international law and violates Syrian sovereignty, but also exposes the hypocrisy of those who purport to uphold state-centric values. The Zionist regime cares for nothing but its own trigger-happiness, and many regional Arab and Muslim states fall victim to its brutal tactics.

Sunday’s attack was a shocking transgression that targeted Hezbollah and Iranian installations deep inside the residential areas of the Syrian capital, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 civilians. Such barbarism warrants condemnation and retribution from Tel Aviv’s allies, so that the aggressor is held accountable for its actions.

The animosity between Syria and Israel is deep-seated, with the occupation of Golan Heights by the Jewish state adding fuel to the fire. But instead of seeking a resolution to the conflict with Syria or the stateless Palestinians, Israel’s modus operandi has been to get away scot-free after each bloodbath. This past weekend was no different, as Israeli missiles launched from military bases laid waste to a section of the residential complex.

It is imperative that the international community condemn this latest attack by Israel and demand that it be held accountable for its actions. The blatant disregard for human life and international law cannot be allowed to continue unchecked.

The question that arises is when Israel will strike again. From East Jerusalem to Gaza, Sinai to Beirut and Ramallah, the so-called Muslim-domain is constantly exposed to Israel’s aggressive actions. This is not only a violation of decency and democracy, but also a clear indication that the Zionist state has little concern for either. There must be a limit to these neo-holocausts, and the civilized West must take action to put an end to Israel’s aggression.

In recent years, Israel’s aggressive actions have gone unchecked, with the international community turning a blind eye to its violations of international law and human rights. It is time for the world to stand up and take notice of the atrocities being committed by the Zionist state. As an occupying power, Israel must be held accountable for its actions and made to pay a heavy price for its crimes against humanity.
