Ferrari Introduces SF-23 Car to Outpace Red Bull and Verstappen Italian sports car manufacturer, Ferrari, unveiled their new SF-23 vehicle for the upcoming Formula One season on Tuesday, aiming to outpace rivals Red Bull and world champion, Max Verstappen.
After an error-filled performance that saw the Scuderia finish second in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships last season, they are gunning for victory with their latest offering.
“The objective is to win, that’s clear,” said driver Charles Leclerc, who took the SF-23 for a spin around the Maranello track in front of passionate supporters. “The thrill of winning is what drives me, motivates the whole team too. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and go for the championship.”
The upcoming season marks the first for team principal Frederic Vasseur, who took the reins in December following the resignation of Mattia Binotto the month before.
Binotto was deemed responsible for the numerous mishaps of the previous season, including pit lane blunders and mechanical problems that affected Leclerc’s bid to keep up with Verstappen.
