Iranian President’s visit to Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum

Iranian President Dr. Syed Ibrahim Raisi visited the mausoleum of national poet Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore today. They placed flowers on the shrine and recited Fatiha.

During his address, President Ibrahim Raisi emphasized the important role of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s poetry in promoting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran.

He said that there are strong fraternal relations between the two countries which will be further strengthened in the future.

He conveyed a message to the people of Pakistan on behalf of the Iranian Supreme Leader and expressed his feelings of connection during his visit.

The president also appreciated Pakistan’s principled stand on the situation in Gaza.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the preacher of the historic Badshahi Mosque, offered a special prayer for the development of Pakistan-Iran relations and the well-being of the Muslims of Gaza.

Later, the President praised the literary legacy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in the guest book.

They also received a briefing on the ongoing restoration efforts at the historical sites of Lahore, particularly within the old city.
