Lives Lost in Violence at Kurram

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A horrific act of violence struck Kurram district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, leaving four people dead and three injured. Gunmen opened fire on a passenger coach and a car near Sada Bazaar, tragically taking the lives of two security personnel, a driver, and a woman.

Both vehicles were traveling from Parachinar to Peshawar at the time of the attack. Officials are actively investigating the incident and pursuing the perpetrators. Security measures have been heightened in the area to prevent further violence.

Sadly, this was not an isolated incident. Just last week on December 31st, a similar attack on a passenger coach occurred in Hangu district, leaving one person injured. While a passenger’s brave intervention forced the attackers to flee, the frequency of these violence acts remains deeply concerning.

This heartbreaking loss of life underscores the urgent need for sustained efforts to ensure the safety and security of all citizens. We must stand together against violence and promote dialogue and understanding to create a peaceful future for the communities of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
