Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan after a self-imposed exile in London has had a significant impact on the political landscape, according to a rapid poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan.
The survey, which involved a scientifically selected sample of 1,000 individuals across nearly 100 districts in four provinces, utilized phone survey methods on October 22, 2023, immediately following Nawaz’s speech at Minar-e-Pakistan.
The poll revealed eight key findings:
- 75% of the country’s adults were aware of Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan.
- Nearly one in three adults reported hearing Nawaz Sharif’s speech at Minar-e-Pakistan, reaching an audience of approximately 40 million people from across the nation.
- Of those who heard Nawaz’s speech, 80% expressed a positive opinion about it, while 12% did not like it, and 7% had mixed feelings.
