Pakistan Condemns Israeli Aggression in Gaza: Calls for Immediate Action to Stop War Crimes

Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s continued military aggression in Gaza, describing its actions as part of a broader strategy to escalate tensions and pursue an expansionist agenda that jeopardizes regional peace. The condemnation comes after Israel’s latest offensive, which includes the illegal seizure of Palestinian land, specifically targeting the Morag Corridor, and further annexing Palestinian territories.

In a press release issued on Thursday, Pakistan’s Foreign Office denounced Israel’s deliberate targeting of a UN-run clinic in Jabalia, which sheltered more than 700 displaced civilians. This attack, Pakistan said, is a flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian principles. “Such actions demonstrate Israel’s blatant disregard for the sanctity of human life and international norms,” the statement read.

The Foreign Office also expressed alarm over Israel’s storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex during the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. This provocative move, the FO said, not only desecrates one of Islam’s holiest sites but also signals Israel’s determination to escalate tensions further, pursuing its expansionist policies at the expense of peace in the region.

Pakistan emphasized that Israel’s military actions, which have led to the mass destruction of civilian infrastructure and the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, are morally indefensible and legally reprehensible. The Foreign Office called for an immediate halt to these violations, stating that such actions qualify as war crimes under international law.

Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and called on the international community to act decisively to prevent further loss of innocent lives and to protect the sanctity of religious sites.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently stated that Israel’s military is systematically dividing Gaza and seizing territory to pressure Hamas into releasing hostages. However, the ongoing airstrikes and ground operations, which resumed in mid-March, have only escalated the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with over 50,000 lives lost since the conflict began in October 2023.
