Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said that Pakistan Railways has received forty-six high-speed modern bogies from China.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said that these bogies are completely manufactured in China. The railway minister said that Pakistan Railways is manufacturing 184 similar bogies at its carriage factory in Islamabad after technology transfer from China. He said that we have acquired technology from China which is a great achievement. Saad Rafiq said that during the last four years not even a single engine was arranged.

He further added that in prison, when I used to read the newspaper and read the story of the railway’s destruction, it was very heartbreaking for me, now we have to start from zero.

Answered to a question he said that by the grace of Allah we have saved the county from the risk of default.
