Pakistan Urges Full Gaza Ceasefire

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will attend the Arab-Islamic foreign ministers’ meeting in Istanbul on Monday, calling for the full implementation of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. The meeting, hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, will also review the U.S. peace plan for Gaza and explore coordinated steps for lasting regional stability.

The Pakistani foreign ministry stated that Islamabad will emphasize unrestricted humanitarian access, Gaza’s reconstruction, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital under pre-1967 borders.

Turkish FM Fidan warned that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu seeks excuses to violate the ceasefire and resume military aggression. Recent Israeli strikes in Gaza have already tested the fragile truce brokered by President Trump in October 2024.
