Pakistanis are preparing to observe the holy month of Ramadan after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the official moon sighting body, announced the sighting of the crescent moon for Ramadan 1445 Hijri. This means that tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12th, will be the first day of Ramadan.

The announcement was made by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, during a press conference held in Peshawar.

Beyond the official sighting, Maulana Azad’s address carried a significant message. He urged all citizens to embrace unity and work together to move the country forward. This emphasis on unity suggests a particular importance placed on solidarity and togetherness during this holy month.

The arrival of Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, fasting, and prayer for Muslims around the world. With the crescent moon sighted and Maulana Azad’s call for unity echoing, Pakistanis prepare to observe this sacred month with a focus on both personal devotions and collective progress.
