Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik says Pakistan will import twenty thousand tons of additional gas from Azerbaijan during the next two months to meet its demand.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said Russian Petroleum Minister would visit Pakistan next month to negotiate an agreement on the import of crude oil from Russia.
Musadik Malik was confident that Russia would export crude oil to Pakistan at a discount rate.
He said the government is working on the TAPI gas pipeline project to import 1300 billion MF Gas yearly from Azerbaijan to meet the gas shortage in the country.
