On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif set off for a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, joined by a high-level delegation aimed at reinforcing the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
According to a press release issued by the foreign office, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with his Saudi counterpart, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Their discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in crucial areas such as trade and investment, the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and ensuring peace and security in the region.
The Prime Minister will also take the opportunity to express appreciation to Saudi leadership for their constructive role in easing tensions in the recent Pakistan-India conflict, as stated by the spokesperson.
Remarkably, this visit coincides with the ongoing Hajj rituals and the celebration of Eid ul Adha, which will be observed in Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
This trip highlights the longstanding and profound relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, built on shared faith, mutual respect, and a robust strategic partnership. It reaffirms both countries’ dedication to enhancing economic and diplomatic engagement, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s development objectives.
