The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a three-day holiday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr. The central bank said in a statement that it will remain closed from Wednesday, April 10th to Friday, April 12th, 2024, as these are public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

This announcement follows the federal government’s decision to declare a three and four-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr for offices observing five and six working days a week, respectively. The exact date of Eid-ul-Fitr will depend on the sighting of the moon and is expected to fall on either April 10th or April 11th.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a significant religious festival celebrated by Muslims around the world. It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. The festival is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm, with people spending time with their families, exchanging gifts, and indulging in delicious food.

The announcement of the three-day holiday by the State Bank of Pakistan is a welcome one for the people of the country, as it provides them with an opportunity to celebrate the festival with their loved ones, without having to worry about work or other commitments. It also reflects the government’s commitment to promoting religious tolerance and ensuring that all citizens of the country have the freedom to practice their religion and celebrate their festivals.
