The Punjab Assembly has approved one month’s immediate current expenditure budget worth over Rs 358 billion for various sectors.

A motion was moved in the House by Maryam Aurangzeb, which said that the immediate current expenditure budget is necessary for expenditure in the areas of education, health and salaries of employees.

On the opposition member Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan’s point of objection, the Speaker clarified that the details of the emergency budget for March will be presented before the House.

During the meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz went to the opposition benches and discussed with opposition member Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan.
