The Punjab government will distribute 1KV solar systems to 50,000 households in the province.

This was decided in a meeting of Roshan Punjab program chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.

In the meeting, it was directed to install 1KV solar system in different houses and evaluate the utility.

It was decided in the meeting that a household with a consumption of up to 100 units would be eligible for the scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the scheme will be gradually extended to domestic consumers.
