In a twist of fate, following the failed power grab by the Wagner mercenary group in Russia, former US president Donald Trump issued a cautionary statement on Saturday, warning the coup plotters about the potential “unintended consequences” of overthrowing President Vladimir Putin.
Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, the 77-year-old Trump penned his thoughts, saying, “Russia is in turmoil, but let’s tread carefully. The alternative may prove far worse!”
These remarks from the ex-president, who faced indictments on multiple charges, including illicit payments, election result manipulation, and unauthorized possession of classified materials, coincided with the global dissemination of news surrounding the uprising.
