Pakistan, along with 14 other countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkiye, has strongly condemned Israel’s attempt to impose “sovereignty” over the occupied West Bank. The statement followed the Israeli parliament’s approval of two bills seeking annexation of the territory, sparking global outrage.
The Foreign Office termed Israel’s move a “blatant violation of international law” and a direct challenge to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, which rejects any attempt to alter the demographic and legal status of Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

The joint statement also endorsed the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion reaffirming that Israel “has no sovereignty” over Palestinian lands and must allow essential humanitarian aid to Gaza and the West Bank.
Pakistan and its allies urged the international community to compel Israel to halt its “illegal escalation” and support the Palestinian right to self-determination and an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
