The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday rejected social media claims alleging arbitrary offloading of passengers, calling the posts “fabricated and misleading” and aimed at creating unnecessary public concern.
In an official statement, the FIA clarified that no passenger is offloaded if their travel documents are complete and the purpose of travel is legitimate. The agency emphasised that passenger safety and lawful travel remain its top priority.
The FIA also warned citizens against relying on illegal agents and stressed the importance of travelling with verified and complete documents to avoid complications.
Passengers seeking assistance or wishing to file complaints have been advised to contact the Deputy Director of Immigration present at airports or call the FIA helpline at 1991.
The agency’s statement aims to reassure the public and curb misinformation circulating on social media, highlighting its commitment to transparent and lawful travel procedures.
