The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the 11th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the tournament set to take place from March 26 to May 3 across six cities in the country. The 39-day competition will feature 44 matches and mark a significant expansion in the league’s history.
For the first time, eight teams will participate in the PSL, signalling a new phase for Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament. Two new franchises, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz, have joined the league following the recent PSL auction.
Matches will be played in Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi. Faisalabad and Peshawar will host PSL matches for the first time, adding new venues to the tournament’s map.
During the group stage, each team will play ten matches, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The knockout stage, including Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the final, will run from April 28 to May 3.
The opening match will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on March 26 between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen. The same venue will also host the final on May 3, with May 4 reserved as a backup day.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage 11 matches, while Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium will host seven games in its debut PSL season. Karachi, Multan and Peshawar will also host several fixtures.
Meanwhile, the PCB has opened media accreditation for PSL 11, with applications accepted through its online portal until March 13.
