The Pakistan Super League 8 (PSL8) will witness an epic showdown today (Saturday) as Multan Sultans prepare to clash with Quetta Gladiators at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
After beating Peshawar Zalmi in a thrilling encounter on Friday, Mohammad Rizwan’s side is brimming with confidence as they head into the playoff round. Multan Sultans are currently placed third on the points table, winning five out of the nine matches they have played so far.
In front of another full-house at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Multan Sultans won a nail-biting 486-run thriller against Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets, thanks to the extraordinary performance of Rilee Rossouw and Kieron Pollard. Rossouw stroked the fastest PSL century off 41 balls and Pollard blasted a 25-ball 52, helping the team achieve the 243-run target with five balls to spare.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators have struggled to find their footing, managing to win only three out of nine matches. Sarfaraz Ahmed’s team will be hoping to make a comeback in today’s match and qualify for the next round.
