Education champion and Nobel laureate, Malala Yousafzai, made a stunning appearance at the 2023 Oscars. The Dolby Theatre played host to her debut, where her silver gown with cinched details and elegant long sleeves, stole the show. Malala’s minimal makeup look was completed with a pop of red lipstick, paired with pendant earrings in platinum, a silver diamond ring, and a gold ring. While her attire pleased many, it irked a few.
Malala, who served as the executive producer for the Oscar-nominated short documentary, Stranger at the Gate, attended the film’s biggest awards, where it was nominated in the Best Documentary Short Film category. The film explores the story of a former US Marine who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Malala’s husband, Asser Malik, was also present, opting for a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt.
