Sisters’ Hobbit-style village takes shape in Bosnia

Four sisters in central Bosnia are constructing the first-ever Hobbit-style village in Southeast Europe, inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” books and movies, while also cherishing their childhood memories.

The village, named Kresevo Hobbiton, is located in Rakova Noga, near the old mining town of Kresevo, which offers a breathtaking view of the valley and a lake surrounded by lush hills.

The eldest of the sisters, Milijana, shared that they often held family gatherings on this hill and thought of ways to utilize this stunning view for tourism purposes.

The Hobbiton is comprised of “hole houses,” which are built into the ground, and will include features of the area where the sisters live, with each sister decorating one dwelling as per her liking.
