In a bid to prepare for the upcoming general polls, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued instructions to political parties, urging them to submit their symbol applications. The anticipated elections are slated to take place after October.
Political parties have been granted a deadline of July 19 to submit their applications, which must bear the signature of the party leader. The ECP emphasized that the applications should include a list of preferred symbols, with the party leader’s signature being mandatory.
The election commission underscored the importance of providing the address of the political party’s head office in each application.
Upon receiving the applications, the ECP will meticulously examine the eligibility of the parties.
Furthermore, the ECP has directed parties to resubmit their applications previously submitted for the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) back in February.
