Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif convened with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad to review the country’s current political and national security environment.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by a senior governmental delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister Ahad Cheema, and Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan. Key political leaders representing the coalition framework, including Senator Sherry Rehman, Syed Naveed Qamar, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, and Dr. Asim Hussain, were also in attendance.
During the consultation, leadership from both sides reached a consensus to summon separate legislative sessions for the Senate and the National Assembly on Tuesday to address pressing national matters.
