RAWALPINDI: A brave Pakistan Army major made the ultimate sacrifice in a fierce firefight with terrorists in district Khyber’s Shakas area, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
The encounter occurred during a targeted operation by security forces, based on actionable intelligence received regarding the presence of terrorists in the area, as stated by the ISPR.
Leading from the front, Major Mian Abdullah Shah identified a group of militants after strategically positioning the troops to block their escape routes.
Upon intercepting the terrorists, a fierce gun battle erupted, resulting in the martyrdom of Major Shah, a courageous 33-year-old resident of Kohat.
In a commendable display of bravery, the security forces successfully apprehended three terrorists and their accomplices. Currently, a thorough search operation is underway to ensure the complete eradication of any remaining threats in the area, as confirmed by the military’s media wing.
