A powerful tremor measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale rocked the southern Argentine province of Neuquen in the early hours of Monday, as reported by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). This seismic event follows closely after another quake, registering a magnitude of 6.6, which rattled the Gulf of Darien near the Panama-Colombia border. The initial shock was accompanied by an aftershock measuring 4.9, occurring merely ten minutes later, as stated by the US Geological Survey (USGS).
