Hamza Khan Makes History, Reaches World Junior Squash Championship Final
In a stunning display of skill and determination, Hamza Khan from Pakistan has secured a spot in the World Junior Squash Championship final in Melbourne. Notably, he is the first Pakistani player to reach this stage in 15 years, marking a historic achievement.
In an intense semi-final match, French player Melvil Scianimanico fought back fiercely from two games and had a match ball advantage. However, Hamza’s resilience and prowess shone through, and he emerged victorious in the deciding game, sealing his place in the final.
The nail-biting match ended with a scoreline of 11-8, 11-4, 10-12, 9-11, and 13-11 in Hamza’s favor. His exceptional performance has set a new benchmark for Pakistani players in the tournament, reminiscent of Aamir Atlas’s historic achievement in 2008.

However, not all the news was in favor of Pakistan as Huzaifa Khan faced a setback. He succumbed to USA’s Rishi Srivastava in a challenging match, ending his journey towards the final.
