RAWALPINDI: In a fierce exchange of fire in South Waziristan’s Asman Manza area within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, at least six soldiers valiantly gave their lives while battling terrorists, as reported by the military’s media wing on Tuesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ position, resulting in the elimination of four terrorists, while two others were injured during the operation.
Additionally, the ISPR statement confirmed that a thorough sanitization of the area is currently underway to ensure the complete elimination of any other terrorists who may be present.
The statement underscored the unwavering determination of the armed forces of Pakistan to eradicate the menace of terrorism and highlighted the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers as a testament to their unyielding resolve.
This incident follows a recent successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in KP’s Khyber district, where military troops had neutralized two terrorists in the line of duty.
