A powerful earthquake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, struck the southwestern region of the African nation last night, resulting in a tragic loss of potentially 632 lives and widespread destruction.
Numerous videos circulated on social media, depicting collapsing buildings and rubble, adding to the sense of chaos and devastation.
The most recent data from Morocco’s interior ministry indicates that at least 329 individuals have been injured in the aftermath of the disaster. Among the injured, 51 are reported to be in critical condition, according to the ministry’s latest update.
