In a fresh critique directed at the former US commander-in-chief, President Joe Biden has expressed concerns about Donald Trump and his followers within the Make America Great Again (MAGA) faction of the Republican Party. Biden asserted that they are determined to undermine the nation’s integrity, democratic principles, and its foundational institutions.
President Biden, now 80 years old, did not shy away from criticizing congressional members aligned with Donald Trump’s camp, labeling them as extremists.
During an interview broadcast on Sunday, President Biden characterized the MAGA Republican movement led by Donald Trump as a significant threat.
The President, representing the Democratic Party, conveyed to ProPublica: “I see this as possibly the last desperate attempt, or perhaps the first major push, of the MAGA Republicans. Trump seems to have concluded that victory is imperative.”
In his recent remarks, President Biden stated, “[Trump] will employ every available tactic. Some of the statements he makes are truly astonishing. I never anticipated hearing a sitting president utter such words.”
Just days ago, President Biden launched a series of criticisms against Trump, characterizing him as an “extremist” whose actions pose a serious threat to the foundations of American democracy and its essential institutions.
