U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has revealed that President Joe Biden will soon undertake a solidarity visit to Israel. This announcement followed Tel Aviv’s agreement to formulate a humanitarian aid plan for the civilians in Gaza.
During this upcoming visit, Blinken stated that President Biden will focus on strategies to minimize civilian casualties in times of conflict, especially given the escalating humanitarian crisis, all while preventing Hamas from gaining any advantage.
Blinken made this announcement about the aid plan after engaging in a 9-hour discussion with Prime Minister Netanyahu. Their meeting, which extended into the early hours of Tuesday, was temporarily interrupted by air raid sirens warning of incoming Palestinian rocket fire, necessitating their retreat to a bunker.
